Do you ship Kickstarter Rewards Internationally?
Yes we do, with an additional flat fee for international shipping per pledge. Canada, being so close to the USA, has a slightly lower flat fee.

I have a question that is not listed below and I cannot find the answer in the comments or updates. What should I do?
We welcome all questions! We want to help clear up any questions that you may have about Alea Tools or this Color Mix Project!
Feel free to post them in the comments section of this project or send us a Kickstarter message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We will also try to collect all of the questions that we receive about this project and post them here so you don’t have to search all over for them.
(You can also reach us via our web site and social media, but we will be paying closest attention to Kickstarter while the project is live to help keep things moving.)

Do these markers with Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition? Pathfinder? Etc.
Yes! We have not seen an official statement from these manufacturers prohibiting any specific colors from use in marking status.
They also make great fridge magnets and look really awesome on magnetic white boards! :)

Is the two-color variation screen printed onto each piece or is it part of the plastic color?
Our new Color Mix Magnetic Status Markers are created with the same injection molding process as our single-color magnetic status markers. The only difference is that a second plastic colorant is added and melted into the base colorant as it flows into the cavities of the mold. Neat, huh? We are very pleased with our Mad Scientist and the work he is doing in his lab! :)

Will the Color Boost Kickstarter Project also offer two-inch Magnetic Status Markers?
Although we will never say never, (and we always prefer to add rewards and add-ons that have been requested by our backers). We would like to stick with one-inch rewards for this project. Producing just one size of magnetic status markers will significantly reduce the risk of missing delivery expectations.
That said, based on feedback or funding, we may change our minds or opt to have a separate two-inch project in the future. No promises, though. :)

What are the chances it takes years to get my pledge rewards, like "that other Kickstarter project?"
Alea Tools takes our commitment to our Kickstarter Backers VERY seriously. We participated in dozens of projects as backers before we created our first Kickstarter. Unfortunately, we have pledged to Kickstarter projects that took forever to deliver (or not at all). Quite frankly, it sucks when that happens. But, fortunately, that has helped us understand how important delivery dates and expectations are to project backers. We intentionally waited to launch this campaign until we were as confident as we could be that we will deliver before or during the expected delivery month for each Pledge Level.

Has Alea Tools posted other Kickstarter project(s)? If so, how did it / they go?
Yes! We have already completed two successful Kickstarter projects. In 2013 Color Boost helped us launch 18 awesome new colors. And in 2014, our Initiative Board project introduced our game aid for turn tracking.
Both Kickstarter projects were successful and delivered as promised. We also had A LOT of fun! We hope all of our backers did, too!!! :-D

Can I add items from AleaTools.com as add-ons to my pledge to save on shipping, etc?
We understand that shipping costs can really add up, but we find it best to only include the items that are officially listed as a pledge reward or add-on to the Color Mix project. We have completely separate processes and work areas (on separate floors) to assemble, package, and ship the products from our web store and for the Kickstarter project.
We also cannot stress enough how much we really want to make sure the Pledge Rewards and Add-ons for each backer are shipped as timely and accurately as possible. Keeping the Kickstarter items separate from AleaTools.com products will help us prevent frustrating delays and costly mistakes. And hopefully that will help us make sure everyone is happy! :-D

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
